Following the current situation with Coronavirus / COVID-19 in the area, it's important we all take steps to prevent the spread of the virus while continuing to minimise disruption to our services.
Little Paws Ferret Rescue takes its role in the community very seriously and has put in place a planned response to protect the animals in our care, volunteers and the wider community which we believe will help prevent the spread of the virus.
We are now open for rehoming. All appointments are made by prior appointment and we will be taking less appointments to allow us to space out appointments and avoid any crossover.
Little Paws Ferret Rescue are a charitably Incorporated organisation (CIO) registered with the Charities Commission. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome lost, unwanted and mistreated ferrets in Sunderland and South Tyneside. We provide advice and education on ferret care and promote good animal husbandry as well as promoting animal welfare.
All of our rescues are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (as long as they are healthy enough to do so) and we have a no breeding policy for all of our rescues. We also offer full rescue back up to all adopted ferrets for the whole of their lifespan.
HOW YOU CAN HELP.
We are always in need of fleece blankets or material, towels, small animal equipment, ferret kibble, etc... We have a bank of volunteers that help with events, fostering (vetting and training required), sharing our posts on social media and raising awareness. We hold shows and events which you can attend or volunteer at.
